Its been a month and a half since we got out here in NC.
Since moving out here Jade & I haven't really had any time together. We have about an hour of getting ready in the morning, 10pm until I'm ready for bed or Jade will find me already asleep when he gets home, Saturday nights after 5:30pm and all day Sunday. However, most of our Saturday nights are with the guys and then after church activities are with the guys. I don't think its bad to hang with the guys but I really was just dying for some time with my husband instead of being surrounded by 12+ guys. Like husband and wife quality time.
Our original plan was to go to the beach this week but plans fell through and it was supposed to be raining. So I wanted to do something. This morning was cloudy with a little sprinkle so we took a little walk after taking the garbage out to the dumpster. I loved just being able to talk with Jade, hand in hand. We watched a conference session together. We started writing down our dreams list (we do this every year to see how much we grow, change, and accomplish in this life). The weather became partly cloudy as we made our list so I was ready to go outside. I was thriving to hike all the trails around us. I could sense Jade didn't want to go but he was a good sport and came with. We simply drove to Umstead State Park - its only 15 mins from our apartment! This week we went to the south entrance and did the Loblolly Trail until Jade was ready to head back home.
It really is beautiful in NC and I love being out in nature. There is so much peace I find when I'm exploring what has been created for me. I love capturing the beauty so I can remember the area, and moments created. Jade is patient when I set up the camera or stop on the trail to take a picture of something. I appreciate him for that.
