Jade has started another summer of selling pest control. We arrived to North Carolina two weeks ago and had our first outing! Sunday's are the only FULL days I get to spend with Jade, so they are cherished. I am cooped up in the apartment all day during the week, as I work remotely, so we're determined to get out and explore this state over the summer!
This Sunday we asked to get our membership records moved over to a ward in Morrisville at 11am. The past two Sunday's we've had intentions of going to the 9am ward but that never happened so obvious that 11 will be best for us this summer :) I am thrilled about this ward too. Everyone seems so nice and welcoming. It was refreshing.
After church we gathered up the single guys and headed to Lake Crabtree State Park to enjoy the sunshine and get fresh air. Its seriously so gorgeous here. Green, green, and more green! We started exploring the Lakeside trail as some of the guys wanted to find snakes or turtles. It was a little sloppy from a rain storm a couple days ago but we got around it with a little mud on the shoes.
Jade stopped to teach about some spiders in the rocks ;)
We may have turned around while the other guys continued on their hunt for turtles/snakes, but we definitely found a creepin creature. This spider was huge!! And its egg sack was too. Ew so nasty. The pictures make it look so much smaller.
The guys eventually knocked the egg sack off the spider and cut it open to find hundreds inside. Ew ew ew!
We brought some snacks to munch on while playing games. It was definitely warm just sitting at the picnic table but it was so so so nice to be in just a t-shirt and shorts again.
The boys played soccer and I walked around the edge of the lake in the big open part of the park. A huge crane flew in. I just love being in nature and watching it. Its so peaceful.
