6 Months of B L I S S

We enjoyed our little celebratory "6 months of being sealed for all eternity" today!  We've officially been married longer than we dated (if you call it dating) or were even engaged with each other.  Mind blown.

Mr. J had classes and I held a little garage sale throughout the day.  It was quite a beautiful day as there wasn't a cloud in the sky with a settle breeze.  While I held my (indoor) garage sale in our apartment, I had the window open which made it quite pleasant.  It's almost as if we have skipped winter in this little college town that is known for the "harsh" winters.  Jade would text how the sale was going every now and then.  Once it was done, I got a text saying "Beautiful day to frolf :)"  Now, this husband LOVES to frolf, frisbee golf, disc golf, or whatever else you want to refer it as when you throw a disc into a chain catcher.  Moment of honesty, I'm not much a game player.  I'm not into competition and I most definitely don't like learning things in big groups, let alone in front of people!  We have talked about going frolfing a couple times when we lived in Oregon but it never happened or I didn't want to go Thanksgiving day with the crowd because I had the excuse of making rolls for the feast.  After reading Mr. J's text, I replied "We can go!"  Why not with a perfect day like it was and it would be just him and I for my first attempt, no crowd!  He immediately called after his class.  He had 1 1/2 hours until his next class so I jumped in the car, picked him up from school, and we were on our way to the park.

Since I had never "frolfed" before, Jade took the opportunity to demonstrate how to throw (swing your arm, get some serious leg movement for a powerful throw, etc).  I might have chuckled the first time I saw him throw because this is serious business people.  But I threw my choice of disc and it was a complete joke.  At least I made it maybe halfway to the chain catcher, right?  I will never be able to catch up to the performance of the Mr or my brother, so why not just have fun and throw a disc around the park.  Totally worth it to spend time with the Mr during his break and his excitement to frolf was the best.  I love my man.

As you can see, I learned some great techniques...Cortney style.  How about the curling of my lips into my mouth for concentration?  A bad habit that needs broken!

This is the handsome Mr. with his birdie
After a great afternoon together and Mr. J's last class, we went to Pizza Pie Cafe for dinner as we were s t a r v i n g!  All you can eat pizza, pasta, and salad!  We both don't really like to go out to eat - think about how much profit the business is making off of you eating their unhealthy foods - so this was a big deal.  We took our time and spent 2 hours there, not only eating and enjoying to our satisfaction (or more), but we talked about memories, set goals, created dreams, and planned for the future.
I am grateful for where we are today as a couple, where we live, and for the opportunities we have and have previously had so far.  Life is wonderful, isn't it?
