Baby #1: 33 Week Bumpdate

STATS:
How far along are you: 33 Weeks!
Total weight gain this week: same as last week
How big is baby: As big as celery, cauliflower blossom, or honeydew melon (19 in, 4.5lbs)
Maternity clothes: Yes
Sleep: This week I've been sleeping through the night without 'typical pregnancy symptoms' of being uncomfortable or needing to use the restroom per usual.  Baby Ricker has woken me up at least 3 nights though from his movements!  I just remember feeling movements, looking at my belly and then being out again - so not even a disturbance really :)  This is the second week Jade and I crashed after church on the couch and was out cold for a good two hours.  There is nothing more satisfying than a Sunday nap and we're soaking in the time we're still able to enjoy them before our little munchkin is here and on different sleeping schedules from us!
Best moment this week: My boss surprised me with an afternoon off, since they were going golfing as a team, so I got to spend my time with Jade!  I've been trying to clean up our photos (need more space for when my little model gets here!) and as I've done this I'm reminded how our lives are about to completely change with our little one making his arrival and how grateful I am for the time we had as just us, our adventures, and every learning experience we've had together - even if its learning how to be home owners and dealing with raccoons in our attic!  Those 4 short extra hours together were so cherished.
Miss anything:  Not being able to see past my belly button; not even lifting up/trying to squish my bump helps.
Movement: He is really moving his body on the walls of the uterus!  He has been very active and rolling. Its still fun following the hard parts on my belly to guess what it is and follow the movement. Sometimes his movements are quite painful like he's trying to push on my skin to get more room - I feel my skin is not expanding enough to accommodate to his growth!)  Sunday he got me REALLY good with one of his moves.  I whimpered a little and grabbed my left side - it only lasted a second or two. I just can't figure out what he kicked/hit but it definitely shot some pain.
Food cravings: Nadda
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope
Gender: BOY
Labor signs: Pelvic pressure?  I'm not sure if this is a labor sign or not
Symptoms:  I experienced some pelvic pressure a couple times this last week.  I only noticed it for a short amount of time when I did have pressure - I should've taken a bath but sleep was more appealing :)
I would say this week's most uncomfortable/pain has been my stretch marks.  I've only earned these beauties on my bump so I'm not sure if its because he's basically scrapping the walls of my uterus when he moves, being dehydrated, or what!  I can't think of anything to compare the pain to though :/
On Sunday, I had my first hot flash freak out moment where it was just too hot in our apartment (76*) so I had to turn it down (74* was satisfying).  My feet felt on fire!
It is getting more difficult to breathe.  I tell myself its not, but I've caught myself out of breathe standing up from the ground (big sighs), deep couches, and even snuggling Jade.  I just need room and a big inhale/exhale every once in awhile!
TMI BEWARE: leaky boobs - I had been warned from different blogs I have read trying to prep myself for everything pregnancy/birth related so I'm glad its held out this long.
I have now also experienced the sneeze and pee situation.  Thankfully, I was home :)
Belly button in/out: In but tightened and the tippy top is *starting* to poke a little
Wedding rings on/off: On
Happy or moody: Happy - except with Sears Auto I was not a happy nice pregnant lady - definitely had a great argument with them...(never ever ever ever ever EVER giving them another penny. ever. not in UT or NC - they're terrible even across the country) rant over :)
Looking forward to: The bumps last flight on Wednesday! This means we are headed home and the garage sale-ing/thrift store finds/baby gear collecting can commence!

Baby #1: 32 Week Bumpdate

STATS:
How far along are you: 32 Weeks - going into my 9th month!!
Total weight gain this week: -1 lb from last week
How big is baby: Size of a Florida Pomelo, head of lettuce, or a squash (19in, 3.9lbs)
Maternity clothes: Yes
Sleep: Sleeping through the night with a blanket under my belly, pillow between my legs and a pillow behind my back :) I've been able to stay up later too like 11-midnight is the norm.
Best moment this week: Being in a baking mood on Saturday...one thing I've learned out here is I'm not 'THAT' wife when it comes to working in the kitchen.  I don't make dinner or hardly bake; a pile of dishes to do after has never been a great reward.  I've heard it too many times from the single guys "oh it must be nice coming home to dinner every night" when speaking to Jade or "so what's your favorite thing to make Jade?"
Going to a Breastfeeding class and winning the organic Nipple cream I wanted :)  I also got a $40 Tommee Tippee prize and other goodies!  It was very informative and as scared as I am to dive into this new world of breastfeeding, it got me excited.
Our Doctors appointment, Jade was able to attend!! Everything is on point and he has no concerns for me except he thinks my husband should be down in RIO...
Miss anything: Having company while I work - my parents were here and then Holly (2 weeks behind me in pregnancy!) was here for 2 days while her husband worked.  Now I'm back to my lonesome, but not for much longer until I'm back in the office!
Movement: I feel like there's been more consistent movement but less kicking - as in he's getting scrunched in there and I'm feeling his bum, knees, feet rubbing against the uterus.  Its pretty fun to feel my belly for a hard spot and guess what body part I'm currently feeling.
Food cravings: No
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope
Gender: BOY
Labor signs: No - I think being back to the pool has been a help
Symptoms:  Swollen feet - key item here is hitting the pool everyday!  I saw my ankle bones again after doing that!
I'm slacking in the water department!
My belly has been UBBBBBER itchy.
Belly button in/out: In but tightened
Wedding rings on/off: On
Happy or moody: Happy
Looking forward to: Having another dr's appointment before I fly back home! This means I'm close to finally being home and able to shop for everything baby needs!

Baby #1: 31 Week Bumpdate

STATS:
How far along are you: 31 Weeks
Total weight gain this week: +3 lbs from 2 weeks ago
How big is baby: size of a head of romaine lettuce, a coconut, or asparagus (3.5 lbs)
Maternity clothes: Yes but still wearing some non maternity shirts too!  This week I picked up a belly support belt and it saved me while walking around DC!!  Thank heavens I found it on clearance :) It was originally $69 but I got it for $17!
Sleep:  This week I was truly spoiled in the sleeping department.  Our hotel had the best beds, pillows - so COMFY.  They had king sized down pillows so I used three, one for between my legs/under my belly, one behind my back, and then one for my head.  I was able to sleep fine on either side and it seems I never moved out of that position throughout the night!
Best moment this week: Visiting DC with my parents!  So much walking but it was incredible! I believe we had anywhere between 10K-20k steps a day.  I did have to sit out on one museum but we found out we could get a wheelchair at a different museum, so I definitely took advantage of that opportunity!
I tried lamb at one of the food trucks in DC.  I did NOT want to try it but somehow Jade got me to and it was quite delicious ;)
Dripping food on the belly - its definitely easier to just put a napkin on the bump so I don't stain my shirts.
Going to Babies R Us with my parents...for 2 hours - opinions on strollers, carseats, and nursing chairs (so FUNNY to see my dad demonstrate how he'll push a stroller as a grandpa around Disneyland...he's so ready! He votes for the BOB stroller :P)  We were all constantly pointing out strollers in DC.
Miss anything: Bending over to pick something up from the ground being effortless - now its just easier to state "Jade, please grab that" or he'll just automatically do it if he sees something drop
Movement: Still kicking strong, there were some days I felt he kicked less. I think I was just busy concentrating on our vacation instead of noticing every kick like I'm able to sitting at home doing work.  [Feeling our little boy move around inside me while at the Temple is quite a special experience and this time he was way more active/had stronger movements.]
Food cravings: No, but I did enjoy some dunked oreos which were delicious!
Anything making you queasy or sick:  I'm still not really into processed fast food/greasy foods.  I tried having McDonalds and I ate it since I was hungry, but I'd prefer something else thats for sure!  Then I tried a food truck with chicken strips and fries - the fries were devoured but I could only have so much of the chicken strips until the rest was past onto Jade to enjoy.
Gender: BOY - a little Jade Junior
Labor signs: Had some heavy pressure on my pelvis so I took a hot shower and then sat in the tub with the shower on for a good hour.
Symptoms: I felt a little sciatic nerve pain again, which affected my walking one day but took a hot shower and rubbed oils on and was able to get around well afterwards.
Had some pinkish hue in discharge which really scared me (tmi)
Peeing myself 2x - yes, it happened from laughing!  Oh boy!
Swollen ankles - the day we left for DC I was just working on the couch, rubbing my ankles and realized I didn't feel a boney ankle!  I looked down and sure enough...cankles.  I was horrified I couldn't feel my ankle.  I 'thought' I had swollen feet/toes before but it was a minor case from what my ankles/feet were like right then.  Our first full day in DC, I wore my Teva sandals which gave me some nice blisters from my swollen feet (thankfully it didn't affect me until the end of the night).  Unfortunately, we couldn't adjust the straps on them; I think there's sand or gunk where the straps would slide and we didn't want to break my shoes, so I dealt with it :)
Belly button in/out: In - just waiting for the day it pops out :)
Wedding rings on/off: On
Happy or moody: Happy
Looking forward to: Doctors appointment on Friday!
